Maria Fuentes

Born: September 21, 1929 – San Pedro Sacatepéquez, Guatemala

Died: December 27, 2021 – Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Maria was a loving and beautiful human being. She loved to cook and had a great appreciation when she had a chance to travel to warmer climates. Despite living in Canada for 39 years, she never got used to the harsh Canadian climate – especially the winters. She is now reunited with her husband, Frank (2014), whom she loved and cared for in the 52 years they were together. In her younger days she modelled for and was the subject of many paintings. She was a happy person always smiling and laughing and had a great love for birds and cats. She always had a bible in her hand and read it whenever she had a chance. She leaves behind a daughter, Lucie, and son, Cesar, and her grand-daughter, Adrianna, and son-in law, Ryan. She had many other grandchildren, sisters, brothers and cousins and nephews.
