Margaret Lillian Conacher

With great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Margaret Conacher (Finn) on Tuesday August 1st, 2023.
Devoted mother of Ron (Enrique) and David and fondly remembered by her sisters Mary Lou Anderson (Sue Walker) and Susanne Stewart (Alan) and her sisters-in-law Diane Conacher and Margaret-Ann Quinney. Cherished Aunt to many nieces and nephews across the country.
As a resident of the Redwoods Retirement home in Ottawa, Margaret was often at the center of any discussion around hockey and the Ottawa Senators. A long-time volunteer with the Nepean Figure Skating Club and Nepean Minor Hockey, Margaret encouraged in her children the importance of volunteering and a love of sports.
Margaret was also a passionate supporter of the Canadian Armed Forces and was immensely proud of her son David's enlistment into the Royal Canadian Navy.
Both her sons would like to thank the staff of Saint Vincent's Hospital for their loving care of our mother over the last few weeks.
Visitation will be held for family and friends at Tubman Funeral Home (Westboro Chapel) 403 Richmond Road, Ottawa on Wednesday August 9th from 2pm to 4pm. Funeral arrangements will be announced shortly.
