Diguer, Marc Robert

December 2, 1953—May 9, 2022

Peacefully, with his wife, daughter and son by his side, Marc passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022. He accepted his illness with firm determination to leave this life on his own terms with dignity, grace and an outpouring of love for family and friends.

Predeceased by his parents Bob and Dorothy, he leaves behind his wife Karen, daughter Chantal (Giulio Temperini), son Alex (Sarah) and grandsons Isaac, Nathan, Noah and Felix. Also mourning his loss are his sisters Diane (Richard), Lise (the late Tom), Rose (Chuck), and Anne, as well as his many nieces, nephews and in-laws from the Buhr family.

Marc enjoyed early retirement from his career as a software engineer and leader in the high-tech sector. During this time he found much joy learning how to cook, puttering around the cottage, and astride his bike. With Karen he explored Europe and New Zealand on two wheels and knew every bike path in Ottawa.

Marc, Karen, Chantal and Alex are so grateful for the outpouring of support received from family, friends and neighbours over the past few months, as well as from his compassionate team of doctors and nurses. He will be missed terribly and remain in our hearts forever.

There will be a private family gathering to celebrate his life. In memorial donations can be made to Pancreatic Cancer Canada, or a charity of your choice.
