Malachi Moses Shandwe was born on the first of November at 3:51 PM. He was running late, but arrived in style on that crisp November afternoon. Born to Pauline and Moses, he spent forty days blessing us with his life and joy before he passed on.
Malachi, though brief in his time, gained several names that described his very particular personality and essence. Zani, meaning ‘Gift from God’. Chi, or Chi-Chi, a shortened form of Malachi. Silent Burner, because of his quietness during the first eight months after his conception. Mal, or Baby Mally, Malashee, Silent Ninja -- among many more. Regardless of what he was called, he brought joy and love to all he met. He was a beautiful boy who’s smile lit up the sky. He loved looking around rooms inquisitively. He loved the sound of his mother and father’s voices. He made funny faces regularly. His laughter made dark days bright. He will live on in our thoughts and memories, forever a blissful moment of time that we all will dearly miss.
