(September 9, 1964 – September 17, 2025)

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Louise Lilliane Chenevert, age 61 on September 17, 2025, at La Pietà in Gatineau. Born in Ottawa, she was the wife of Wayne Smyth and the daughter of the late Blanche Gervais and the late Joseph Chenevert.

Over the years Louise worked for Dynamex Courier Service and the Federal Government. She volunteered for various charities including the Canadian Red Cross.

Louise enjoyed family events and had a passion for hot air balloons, book collecting, crossword puzzles, baking desserts, shopping, Baskin Robbin’s ice cream, and loved to laugh especially with the love of her life, Wayne.

Louise was predeceased by her sister Carole Chenevert (Gaetan Roussel).

She leaves in mourning her three brothers Peter McDonald (Carleen), Denis Chenevert (Susan) and Daniel Chenevert (Leanne), her godchildren Julie Roussel (Pascal Mongeon) and Guy Chenevert and sister-in-law Sandra Cooke (Gary). Saddened also are her nephews and nieces, several cousins and many friends.

Louise was a wonderful friend to all and will be greatly missed. Family and friends are invited to the Centre Eardley United Church Cemetery, route 148, Luskville, Quebec for a graveside service and interment on Monday September 29th at 10:30 a.m.
