Lois Healey (nee Chapman) passed away peacefully in her 99th year on Saturday, June 13th, 2026. Lois was predeceased by her husband, Lanny Healey and her two sons, Brian and Scott.
Lois was a proud grandmother to Jason Healey (Alicia) and great grandmother to Violet. They will miss their Granny (GiGi). Lois will also be dearly missed by her brother Lloyd Chapman (Opal), niece Donna Mather (Brian) and her nephews Barry Chapman (Audrey) and Wayne McKibbon (Cindy)
She will be missed by her great niece Mackenzie (Constantine) and great nephews Ryan (Samira), Rob (Amber), Jordan (Michelle), Andrew (Kathryn) as well as by her 6 great-great nieces and nephews. Lois loved being with and talking to all the kids and always enjoyed celebrating special occasions with them.
In retirement, Lois was very socially active. She nurtured and grew a large group of dear, close friends with whom she travelled, dined, partied and played cards. Lois was a very avid bridge player right until her 97th year. Over the years she played in and won a number of tournaments. Lois will be deeply missed by her many dear and wonderful friends. Special thank you to Janice Westwell and to the wonderful and kind people of the care-team at The Waterford Grand Retirement Residence in Barrhaven.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Tubman Funeral Homes - Garden Chapel, 3440 Richmond Road for visitation on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 10:00am until service time in the chapel at 11:00am. Reception to follow. Lois will be interred at Dales Cemetery in Cumberland, Ontario, following the reception.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.
