Lisette Carnell

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lisette (Liz) Marie Diane Carnell (née Lagacé) on October 31, 2023 at the age of 75, although you would never have known it. Liz was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and lifelong friend to many.  She was predeceased by her parents Leo and Marie-Rose Lagacé, and brother Lucien (Luke).

Liz is survived by her husband of 47 years, Chris, daughters Jennifer and Stephanie (Jordan McNiven), sister Helène (Grant Robertson), her two adored grandchildren Stanford and Leo, and her niece and nephews. She also had an army of close friends that meant the world to her.

Liz was passionate about fitness and staying active. She lived each day to the fullest. In the summer you could find her on the golf course, out paddle boarding and dragon boat racing, and in the winter she loved to go cross country skiing, snowshoeing and curling. Liz felt most at peace near a body of water, having spent many years sailing with her family on the St. Lawrence.

She will forever be remembered for her strength, selflessness, and positivity.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her honour to the Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice.
