Leslie Kathleen Hill (née Sawyer)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Leslie Kathleen Hill (née Sawyer), age of 47, peacefully surrounded by family after a long courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, October 30th, 2025.

Leslie was the beloved wife of Grant Hill, and a devoted mother to Cody and Brooklyn, and to Dylan, who predeceased her and now welcomes her with open arms. Her love for her husband and children was endless, they were the heart of her world and the source of her greatest joy.

Born to Karen and Doug Sawyer, both now deceased, Leslie grew up in a home filled with laughter, warmth, and strong family values that she carried throughout her life. She was a cherished sister to Kala (Tim Johnson), Greg Sawyer (Maryse Gagnier), and Katie Sawyer, and a loving daughter-in-law to Beatrice Hill and the late Bob Hill.

Leslie’s extended family was deeply important to her. She was a caring sister-in-law to Leanne and Larry Taylor, and Mark and Kelly Hill; and a proud, loving aunt to her nieces and nephews - Kevin (Madison) and Maggie (Matthew) Johnson; Brett and Karlie (and great-aunt to Camden), Jordan, and Chelsea Taylor; and Lawson and Hudson Hill - each of whom held a special place in her heart.

She will also be fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, especially Uncle Al, with whom she shared a particularly close bond.

Leslie’s kindness, compassion, and gentle spirit touched everyone she met. She had a gift for making others feel seen, valued, and loved. Her laughter filled rooms, her strength inspired those around her, and her unwavering devotion to family will remain her legacy.

Friends may attend a visitation at the Kars Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 1610 Roger Stevens Dr., Kars on Thursday, November 6th from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 pm. Memorial service will be held at Cornerstone Wesleyan Church, 6556 Prince of Wales Dr., North Gower on Friday, November 7th at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Cancer Society or the Humane Society.
