Laurent (Larry) Joseph Adelard Robichaud

Passed quickly and peacefully in hospital on Monday, September 8, 2025, at the age of 93. He was visited by his children and grandchildren and surrounded by the love of his family and loved ones. He leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Bonnie Robichaud, his 5 children: Darren Robichaud (Alice Robichaud); Kathleen Robichaud (Brent Cuddihey); Jeff Robichaud (Natalie Rizek); Adrian Robichaud (Nicole Robichaud) and Paul van der Voort (survivor of Larry’s daughter-in-law, Natasha van der Voort). He is survived by only one of his 8 siblings; by 5 of Bonnie’s siblings; and by his 10 grandchildren: Cole Robichaud; Meara Robichaud; Addison Robichaud; Maxim Robichaud; Emersyn Robichaud; Zöe van der Voort; Gabriel Vandervoort; Tyler Cuddihey and Justin Cuddihey. Larry was a man with a quiet strength that was felt by those around him and that made us all stronger for it. He loved his family and especially his faithful and loving wife and partner in life, Bonnie. Next to them, he loved music and to dance. He was a capable dance partner and when the residence he lived at would allow dancing, he had a line-up of partners to ballroom dance with. He played the violin and was a member for many years of the North Bay Symphony Orchestra. He later became a member of the Gloucester Community Concert Band when the family moved to Orleans. He loved doing puzzles and reading. He was a devoted and loving father and husband. He will be missed. We are grateful for the kind and compassionate support of the care team at the Queensway Carleton Hospital. A memorial visitation will be held at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean on Sunday, September 28, from 11am until the time of service at 1pm. Reception to follow.
