June Roberta Sweeney Walton Lulham-Joyce

It is with great sadness we announce that our beautiful mother has passed away, after a long and wonderful life, full of family, friendship and a joie de vivre that never left her. Born in Toronto, ON, she lived for many years in Longueuil and Greenfield Park, QC, before retiring to Kanata. 

Remembering her always are her children, Wendy (Melanie), George (Diane), Ian (Dianne) and Joel (Carol) as well as her beloved grandchildren, Jason (Jill), Shaun (Melissa), Matthew (Felicia), Jeffrey (Julie), James (Kim), Nikki (Matt), Lindsay, Tina, Jano (Marissa), Lani (Darryl), and Kalea and her adored 12 great grandchildren. She loved and was loved by her Joyce family, Stuart (Maureen), David (Jacqueline), Glenda (Doug), and their children, Allison, Michael, Erin, Mark, Heather, Devin, and Spencer and their families. June was predeceased by her husbands, Norman Lulham and Fran Joyce and her parents Elsie and Bill Walton, her father Gordon Sweeney, her sister Kathy Walton Poole and her brother Bill Walton. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews and a wonderful friend to so many in her lifetime. 

June was a people person, a great knitter, a lover of books, nature and history, and a member of the Kanata Senior Centre’s choir, ukulele and craft groups. 

Thank you to the caring staff at Queensway Carleton Hospital on ACE, A4 and C4 and to all her friends and family who supported her there. 

A celebration of June's life will be held on Saturday, February 17, from 2 pm to 4 pm at Tubman Funeral Homes Garden Chapel, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean, ON.
