Judith Libby

It is with great sadness that we wish to announce the passing of Judith Ann Libby (Crowder) who died peacefully at the Osgoode Care Centre in Metcalfe, Ontario on Sunday June 23rd, 2024, at the age of 76. 

Predeceased by her loving husband, Frederick Hugh Libby, Judy was the daughter of the late Gladys Crowder (Wilson) and the late Lloyd Donald Crowder, stepdaughter of the late Margaret (Marjorie) Crowder. 

Judy is survived by her sister, Sandra Margaret Black and by her brother-in-law, Allen Carl Black. 

She will be missed by her cousins, nieces, great-nephews and a great-niece who loved her very much. 

Judy’s family are forever grateful to her devoted friend and caregiver, Betty Sim of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario as well as to Betty’s family who treated Judy as one of their own. 

Sincere thanks to the kind staff at Osgoode Care Centre - all the administrative staff, health care staff and volunteers who went out of their way to make Judy comfortable. The compassionate care that Judy received during her stay as resident from March to June 2024 meant the world to her and to her family. 

A memorial service to honour and celebrate the life of Judy will be held at the Kars Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 1610 Rogers Stevens Drive, Kars on Tuesday July 9th, 2024 at 1:00 pm, followed by inurnment at Reid’s Mills Cemetery, 6051 Belmeade Road Osgoode, Ontario. 

As per Judy’s wishes, in lieu of flowers, donations to the  Dementia Society (Alzheimer's) in her memory would be appreciated. Condolences and tributes to Judy may be shared at www.tubmanfuneralhomes.com.
