June 25, 1995 ~ March 23, 2023 (age 27)

We are brokenhearted to announce the passing of Joshua James Raley. On Thursday, March 23, 2023 at the age of 27 years in Ottawa, Ontario.  Joshua, affectionately known as Josh to most will be missed by his loving Father and Mother, James Warren Raley and Cynthia Ann Nuelle, beloved brother Samuel Austin Raley, cherished grandparents, William and Lucille Raley (nee Raymond), Harvey and the late Barbara Nuelle (nee Roberts).  He will be fondly remembered by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Josh was a gentle and compassionate soul who touched the hearts of all who met him.  Always ready to lift those around him with laughter, he was a joy to be with.  His love of nature and animals was only eclipsed by his love for those he cared for.  His greatest gift was when his little brother, Sam came into his life.  His pride and love were always evident, never held back.

His time spent out west, tree planting and snowboarding in the mountains was a cherished time in his life.  When home, he often helped his father with renovations, taking great satisfaction in his work, what he learned and accomplished.

You are at peace, now, our beautiful boy. You will be forever in our hearts ❤️

A private family service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder awareness for youth and young adults through Dave Smith, Harvest House, Sandy Hill, PLEO or CMHA.
