Joseph Clark

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Joseph (Joe) Clark on June 2, 2024, at the age of 87 years.

Loving husband of Ruth Clark (nee Collins) for 62 years. Loving father of sons David (Susanne) and Matthew. Predeceased by daughter Jennifer. Loving grandfather of Geoffrey and Claire. He will be remembered by extended family and many friends.

Joe moved to Ottawa from Sittingbourne, Kent, England as a young man and started work at the Civic Hospital where he met his loving wife, Ruth. He retired from the hospital after 40 years, rising to become the Manager of the Respiratory Therapy Department.

His love of gardening resulted in a large, beautiful garden both in the front and back yards of his home which was enjoyed by friends and neighbours alike.

Joe will be remembered by his family for his love of travel including trips to England, France, USA, Bermuda, and many locations across Canada.

Special thanks to the Staff of Longfields Manor for their kindness and care for Joe.

A private funeral service for family and friends will be held on June 24th at 1pm.
