John Crysdale

1954 -- 2023

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of John on April 21st, 2023 at the age of 69, after sudden complications from a rare auto-immune disease.

John was the loving friend, partner and husband of Johanne Pineau-Crysdale for over 20 years; the cherishing father and grand-father to his son Patrick, stepson Carl (Sara) and step-grandsons Eliott and Jacob; the caring brother and uncle to his sister Heather (Doug) and nephews Malcolm and Rowan; a sweet and kind friend to his brothers-and-sisters-in-law as well as to a favored few.

John was predeceased by his parents Barbara and John H. Crysdale to whom he steadfastly showed kindness and devotion during their declining years.

John was a deeply loving soul, truly a kind and sensitive man. The few of us that knew him, and his unique character, were the lucky ones. He will be remembered fondly and dearly missed. Special thanks to the Civic Hospital for the amazing care and support in his final weeks.

At his request, there will be no funeral service.
