John Smith

John Henry Smith passed away peacefully at Montfort Hospital on Monday September 13, 2021 in his 72nd year.

John grew up in Gatineau before moving to Ottawa and then becoming a resident of the Ottawa Carleton Association for Persons with Developmental Disabilities (OCAPDD). John worked through Employability at Canadian Tire – Heron Road for 25 years and then moved on to Orleans Home Hardware before retiring in 2019.

John will be missed by the staff and individuals he met throughout his years with OCAPDD that knew him well and the employers he had with Canadian Tire and Home Hardware over his many years in their employment.  John was a loyal and responsible team member and a fellow that was always ready for a coffee and chat.

A memorial service will be held for John on October 5, 2021.
