John Barry Graham

May 9, 1945 — May 8, 2026

With broken hearts, the family announces that (John) Barry Graham passed away peacefully, with his loved ones by his side, at The Ottawa Hospital – General Campus on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the age of 80.

Barry was a devoted husband, cherished father, proud grandfather, and a gentle soul whose presence enriched the lives of all who knew him.

Born and raised in Stittsville, Barry grew up with a deep appreciation for community, friendship, and the simple joys of life. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he loved cheering on his favourite teams, sharing stats, and engaging in spirited conversations about the game. His love of sports was matched only by his love for his family.

Barry was the beloved husband of Jean Graham (née Griffiths), with whom he shared more than 60 years of partnership, laughter, and unwavering support. He was a devoted father to Kelly Graham (Murray Young) and Stacey Box (Rick), and a proud grandfather to Jacob Box and Lindsey Box, who brought him endless joy.

He was the deeply loved son of the late Denzil and Lilly Graham (née McCoy), and the dear brother of Joanne Clingin (late Barry). Barry will also be fondly remembered by his brother‑ and sisters‑in‑law: Ian Griffiths, the late Anne Martindale, Heather Kristjansson, and Lynn Griffiths.

Barry made his home in Arnprior, later in life, where he enjoyed a quieter pace of life while remaining connected to the people and passions that mattered most. His warm smile, gentle nature, and easygoing spirit made him a friend to many.

He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, teammates, and colleagues whose lives were touched by his kindness.

Barry’s legacy is one of kindness, loyalty, and love — a life lived with heart. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Barry’s care and arrangements have been entrusted to Tubman Funeral Homes. The immediate family will hold a private ceremony, with a Celebration of Life to follow this summer.

For those wishing to honour Barry’s memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
