Jennifer Smith (neé Blane)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jennifer Smith on Sunday, August 16, 2026 in her 79th year, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

For 56 years, Jennifer was the loving wife of Reg, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, family, and memories. Together they built a life centered around the people who meant the most to them.

Jennifer was a devoted mother to her three daughters, Melanie, Leah (Jason), and Allison. She was predeceased by her youngest daughter Allison, as well as her younger sister Terri.

One of Jennifer’s greatest joys was being a grandmother. She was incredibly proud of her grandchildren, Alex, Katie, Will, Elizabeth, and Jackson, each of whom held a very special place in her heart.

Jennifer will be deeply missed by her husband Reg; her daughters; her grandchildren; her nephew Matt; as well as her extended family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at the Kars Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 1610 Roger Stevens Dr., Kars on Saturday, August 22nd at 1 pm. Interment Rideauvale Cemetery.
