Jean Pierre Guibord

It is with heavy hearts that we share the loss of our dear brother Jean Pierre (JP) Guibord. JP passed away at the age of 75 at the Kanata Ridge Retirement Community with family by his side. He was predeceased by his wife Anne Marie Turpin, his parents Georges and Rita and his sister Suzanne. 

He is survived by his sister Louise Guibord Dion (predeceased by Paul) (Laurent), his brother Paul (Linda), his sister Laurette Stanton (Lorne), his brother Gus, his sister Claire Desjardins (predeceased by Ray), his sister Nicole Yandon (Steve), and his sister Sylvie Gammie (Garry). He will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews, cousins and friends. 

JP faced a difficult, life-long battle with mental illness and in his final years, Alzheimer’s and heart disease. He dealt with these challenges without complaint and many of us thought of him as our “gentle giant”. He will be missed. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Tubman Funeral Home Garden Chapel, 3440 Richmond Road (between Bayshore & Baseline Rd.), Nepean. Please join the family for Words of Remembrance at 1:30pm.
