Jason Daniel MacPherson

Jason "Jay" Daniel MacPherson (1976-2025) passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer.

Jay worked for 25 years in insurance at SunLife. He married his beloved wife, Tracie, in 2005, and together they raised two children, Zoe and Kyle. Jay loved hip hop music, watching car racing and football, and was a huge fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. In the last few years, he strove to raise awareness about the importance of early screening for colon cancer, creating a community of over 2100 members on Facebook, called Clubbing with Cancer. He even appeared on CBC!

Jay's family dog Lou stuck by him through every treatment. More than anything, Jay loved being a dad, and he was the best. Jay is survived by his wife, Tracie, his children, Zoe and Kyle, and his parents, Evelyn and Calvin.
