Janine Roy

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Janine Cecile Roy. She passed away peacefully in her home on February 23, 2026, at the age of 64 years old. Janine was born in Edmonton on May 23, 1961, to Denise and Roland Roy. She was a beloved sister to Suzanne Stratton, Lise Lawrence, and Francine Roy. She leaves behind her three children, Jeffrey McLaurin, Chelsea McLaurin, and Cyndi Weiss. Janine was also a grandmother. She adored her four grandchildren, Easton Boreham, Clara McLaurin, Hallie Boreham, and Lena McLaurin, who were the light of her life and filled her heart with immeasurable love.

She had a deep love for animals. Her compassionate heart extended to every creature, and she found great joy in caring for and being surrounded by them. She enjoyed singing, reading, and watching comedy movies. Music filled her home and her heart, and she was never shy about sharing her voice. She found comfort in a good book and happiness in laughter, always appreciating a good film that could bring a smile to her face.

Janine will be dearly missed, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. As per Janine's request, cremation has taken place and a service will take place in the upcoming months.
