James Bennett

We are sad to announce the passing of James Alfred Bennett, on Tuesday January 18, 2022. Jim lost his battle with COPD at the Queensway Carleton Hospital. He loved his family very much and will be forever missed by his 2 daughters, Kimberly (Brian) and Jennifer. He adored being Poppy to his 3 grandchildren Drew, Gavin and Daniel. He is survived by his 9 brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews in the Bennett clan!

Jim served 35 years in the Canadian Armed Forces. In his retirement years he loved the simple pleasures of life with his family, cooking up a storm in the kitchen and admiring the view of the Ottawa River from his apartment window. We will think of Jim as we feed the birds at our feeder;  another of his passions. As per Jim’s wishes, there will be no funeral. In lieu of flowers feel free to donate to a charity of your choice.
