Jacques Real (Ray) Gauthier

Jacques Real (Ray) Gauthier died August 12, 2023

He was born on July 17, 1933 to Gustave and Anna-Marie Gauthier in Hébertville Québec.

Ray joined the Canadian Forces in the mid 1950’s and was stationed in Europe where he met and married Margaret Vinkka Gauthier. They had 3 sons, Raymond, Donald, and Robert.

After the Canadian forces, Ray worked in sales before landing a career selling Mack Trucks in the Ottawa area for almost three decades.  

Ray was an avid sports fan and loved hockey, football, and car racing.

He is survived by his three children Raymond (Anna), Donald (Trang) and Robert (Jennifer), niece Gina (Jacques), nephews Carl (Louise), Patrice (Kathy), grandchildren Vincent, Ben, Josephine, Damen and Avery and great grandchild Caleb.

He was preceded in death by his sister Marie and brother Gérard.
