Freitag – Herbert

July 5, 1931 – March 16, 2016

With great sadness we announce the sudden and unexpected death of Herb on March 16, 2016 at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife of more than 53 years Marilyn, and their children Hal, Lynne and Neal. Also surviving are Herb's sister Elaine Scott-Thomas and Aunt Myrte Reinke of Eganville and Marilyn's siblings Lani Bassett, Bruce Bracken (Barb), John Bracken(Carolyn), Nancy Watson (Jim), Gordon Bracken (Betty), David Bracken ( Cheryl), Elizabeth Flood, Stephanie Flanigan (Ted), Rick Bracken (Beth) and brother in law, John McAninch, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Norma, sister in law Cinny McAninch and brothers in law Gib Flood and Buzz Bassett. Friends may attend a visitation at Manotick United Church on Saturday, June 18th from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in Herb's memory, please consider the Kiwanis Club of Manotick. Herb was a charter member and was a proud supporter of community initiatives.
