Gourlay Helen May (1923-2022)  née Arnold

Helen passed away peacefully in hospital on January 21. A loving mother to Donna Hawkes and son-in-law Terence Hawkes, Helen was deeply treasured by both the Arnold and Gourlay extended families. Predeceased in 1954 by infant son Arnold Judson Gourlay and in June 2017 by her beloved husband George Edwin Gourlay, Helen was the last of the six Arnold siblings to pass away. Helen’s delightful personality and humour endeared her to all.  Sustained by deep faith, Helen led a wholesome and long life. She loved music, community and being part of whatever was happening. Sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at Perley Health for their care during the past five years. A memorial service for Helen will be held Sunday, May 15, 2:00 pm at Trinity United Church, 1099 Maitland Avenue, Ottawa.
