It is with profound sadness and a sense of shock that Heidi’s family announces her sudden passing at home on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 in her 61st year. Heidi was born on December 10th, 1964 in Ottawa to Walter and Anne Kornherr. Her boundless energy, vibrant spirit, radiant smile and genuine care for others made her a beloved figure in the lives of many. She is survived by her much-loved daughter Molly Kornherr, best friend and beloved partner Robert Hamilton and her loving siblings Christine Kilburn (Reid), Maxine Klaudt (Leo Yerxa) and Peter Kornherr (Sylvia).
Heidi was a remarkable Chartered Professional Accountant who worked for Fisher Scientific, Precidia and then moved on to Choquette CKS. Her chosen career gave her the opportunity to shine as a highly respected and motivating business leader. Her infectious enthusiasm touched everyone she met, both in her professional endeavours and within the community she built around her farm, Flying Colours. There she found the most happiness and peace – on horseback.
Heidi’s leadership and kindness set an example for all, leaving a legacy of compassion and strength. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know her. Heidi’s memory and determination will live on in the hearts of those she loved and inspired. May she rest in peace.
