Gloria Jean Davis

We announce with broken hearts the passing of Gloria on Friday, November 29, 2024 at the age of 79.

Precious wife and best friend of Eldon (Fudd) Davis for 62 years. Cherished mother of Dean (Trudy), and Debbie. Treasured Grandmother of Joshua (Teri-Lynn), Riley (Nicole), Brennan, Sierra (Jordan Taylor), and Gabriel (Meghan) Monaghan, and Brittney and Tyler Davis. Amazing Great-Grandmother of Laughlin, Patrick, and Hogan Monaghan, and Izador and Malakai Taylor.

Lovingly remembered by her siblings Eric (Linda), Marlene (Bruce), Barbara, Russell, Brian, Lee (Julie), and Colleen, and predeceased by her parents, Eric and Marjorie Smith, and sisters Susan Weichert and Vivian Minor. Dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Gloria is known for her beautiful smile, her love to gather family together, her hugs, and freely giving to anyone who needed it. She was a dedicated, long-time employee of Mitel.

After living over a decade with dementia, we take peace in knowing that Gloria’s now free again to be the beautiful soul that she always was.

We wish to thank the wonderful staff at Almonte Country Haven where Gloria had been in long-term care since June 2019.

Please join the family for visitation at Tubman Funeral Homes, 115 Rivington Street, Carp on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., followed by a funeral service in the chapel. Interment will be held at St. John’s Anglican Church cemetery, 325 Sandhill Road, Kanata North. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or the charity of your choice.
