LUBBERT, Glenn Robert
November 28, 1968 - January 10, 2022
With deep sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved Glenn on January 10, 2022 at the young age of 53. He slipped away peacefully at home, taking his last breath while holding his wife's hand, after an arduous six-month battle with cancer.
Glenn had a passion for cars and motorcycles so when choosing a career, becoming an auto mechanic was a natural choice. He graduated top of his class from Algonquin College with a Red Seal Automotive degree and had an exemplary career for over 30 years in the trade. Glenn was capable of many trades and loved carpentry, welding and creating unique things. Those who knew him would attest to his beautiful imagination, creativity and skill. Glenn loved his black Labrador retrievers, lovingly gifted over the years by his stepmother Beverley Sidor.
Glenn was predeceased December 7, 2021 by his father Hugo. He will be deeply missed be his wife and best friend for thirty years Jennifer (Prud'Homme) his mother Aerona, sisters Lenore and Michele (Ray). Dear son in law of Marilyn Prud'Homme, brother-in-law to Susan, John (Kelly Anne), Julie (Thomas), Alexander (Jenn). Proud uncle of Melissa, Cody, Jordan, Emily and Elizabeth.
A special thank you to the 6th floor OBS nurses at the General Hospital, the Carefor nursing team and palliative doctors that helped make it possible for Glenn to fulfill his wishes of returning home.
A Celebration of Glenn's Life will be held at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean on Friday May 27, 2022 from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will take place in the late Spring at his beloved summer home in Norway Bay, Quebec.
