Gillian Kirkpatrick Jeddrie
Jill was born and raised in Ottawa and dedicated her 49-year career to the insurance industry as a broker - many of her longtime clients and co-workers becoming friends.
Proudly born to British parents, Jill was a royalist through and through. She never missed a royal event or an episode of The Crown or Downton Abbey. She loved all British fare and would often recount stories of delicious traditional food her mother would make when she was a child.
Her joyful and outgoing nature allowed to her foster connections and friendships no matter where she went. Jill was fiercely loyal and lived and breathed for her friends, family, and pets. Often regaling stories of her beloved late brother Roger, her travel adventures, or playing poker with the girls.
Despite the countless challenges and hurdles that life threw at her, Jill never lost her youthful disposition and unwavering positivity. She was truly a joy to be around and could easily bring a smile to anyone's face.
A heartfelt thanks to the wonderful people who cared for Jill at the end of her life - the nurses, PSWs, and volunteers at May Court Hospice along with the compassionate attention from Dr. Claire Dyason.
In lieu of flowers, donations to May Court Hospice would be greatly appreciated. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
