Gertrude was born in Toronto on June 14, 1914 and passed away in Ottawa on Friday, May 30, 2014. Daughter of the late John "Jack" and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Horrocks (nee Banner) and step-daughter of the late Rose Horrocks (nee Linke). Gertrude is predeceased by her first husband Frederick John Rashleigh (1970) and by her second husband Albert "Bill" Hunter (1999). Survived by her step-son Richard "Dick" Rashleigh. Gertrude is predeceased by her step-son Donald Rashleigh (2010), her brother Fred Horrocks (Amy), her step-sisters Margaret Link Horrocks and Joyce Link Horrocks and by her step-brothers John Arnold Horrocks (Joanne) and Ronald Horrocks. Gertrude will be fondly remembered by her nephew Peter Horrocks and his wife Jane, Marguerite Rashley and by her many nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to thank Gertrude's attendants, Meftuha Abawaji, Almaz Russell, and Tamadur Aboidris for the love, care and compassion which they extended to her in her later years.
