Gerald Grant

February 1, 1933 — February 17, 2024

Gerald (Gerry) Grant passed away peacefully, surrounded by his girls, on February 17th, 2024. Beloved husband to Alison (nee McGregor). Loving father to Daniel, Debra (Peter), Colleen (Ross), Gordon and stepfather to Shane (Katherine), Calum (Violetta) and Andrea (Mehdy). Papa to 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Samuel Grant and Ann McElroy and siblings Sam, Doris, George, Gary and Gail. Gerry spoke admirably about his career in the Federal Government, formerly of the Department of Finance and Advisor to the Minister of Industry - lifelong friends, travelling the globe and memories he shared with us often. Anyone who knew Gerry would be aware of his passion for singing and dancing, especially at the Full House Restaurant and numerous, if not all, family functions and events. He blessed us with his genuine charm, kindness, sense of humour, beautiful voice and unconditional love. Gerry will be missed immensely by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Paul’s Anglican Church would be greatly appreciated. A Church service will be held Friday, February 23rd, 2024 at 11:00am at St Paul’s Anglican Church located at 20 Young Rd in Kanata, ON.
