Born in Cork, Ireland on December 28, 1943

Georgie of Carp, Ontario passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024 after a long battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Ted Carruthers. She is survived by her daughter Sandy McGill, granddaughter Kim and by sisters Eva (Bob) Porteous and Joyce Paulls (Larry) and brothers Ian (Ina) and Shane (Rosemary) Kavanagh. Dear sister-in-law to Gwen (late Lloyd) Falls, the late Patricia (Gordie) Cavanagh, George (Margaret) Carruthers, the late Stuart (Katherine) Carruthers, Lois (Guy) Tardiff, Carolyn (the late Gerry) O’Malley, the late Don (Karen) Carruthers and David Carruthers. Georgie was the beloved daughter of the late Arthur and May MacMurragh Kavanagh and she was predeceased by her brothers Arthur and Campbell Kavanagh. Dear step-mother of the late Cynthia, Rick and Allayne.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at Huntley Presbyterian Cemetery, 3149 Carp Rd, Carp, ON K0A 1L0, on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 2 p.m.
