Émile Benoit Joseph Lépine

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Queensway Carleton Hospital on April 18th, 2025 at 2:50 p.m.

Remembered by his mother, Johanne, father, Francis, brother, William (Sarena), sisters, Pascale (Jacob) and Florence (Aaron), grandmother, Ghislaine, nephew Francis, and friends; Mackenzie (Kirk), Jennifer, Dylan, Donna, Makayla, Mercedes and Aidan.

Predeceased by his grandparents, René Lépine, Françoise Lépine and Jacques Piché.

At the age of 24, Émile was a radiant light in our lives, fearless, joyful, and full of grace. A beloved son, cherished brother, and adored grandson, Émile’s presence was nothing short of extraordinary. With his striking blue eyes and the most delightful smile, he had a magical way of illuminating every room he entered. Without ever needing words, Émile could connect with others in the most meaningful ways, a glance, a gentle touch, or one of his signature high fives was enough to make anyone feel seen, valued, and loved.

His warmth, kindness, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. In his short but remarkable time with us, Émile taught us about love without limits, the beauty of trusting each other, and the powerful joy of simply being together. Every day you’re gifted is a beautiful and precious day. He reminded us of what truly matters in this world, connection, compassion, and presence.

Though his time on earth was brief, Émile’s light will continue to shine within us. We take comfort in knowing he now rests peacefully in God’s eternal embrace, surrounded by infinite love.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Carp Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 115 Rivington Street, on Thursday, May 8th, from noon until 7 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, May 9th, at St. Isidore Roman Catholic Parish located at 1135 March Rd, Kanata at 1:00. Burial and reception to follow, all are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Adaptive Snowsports – NCD . Skiing brought great joy to Émile's life, and CADS made that possible. Your support will help other children with disabilities experience the same freedom and happiness he found on the slopes.

To celebrate Émile’s love for vibrant colors, the family kindly asks that you incorporate bright colors in your attire in his honor.

S’est éteint paisiblement à l’Hôpital Queensway Carleton le 18 avril 2025 à 14 h 50, entouré de sa famille.

Il restera à jamais dans les cœurs de sa mère Johanne, son père Francis, son frère William (Sarena), ses sœurs Pascale (Jacob) et Florence (Aaron), sa grand-maman Ghislaine, son neveu Francis, ainsi que ses amis : Mackenzie (Kirk), Jennifer, Dylan, Donna, Makayla, Mercedes et Aidan.

Précédé dans la mort par ses grands-parents, René Lépine, Françoise Lépine et Jacques Piché.

À 24 ans, Émile était une lumière éclatante dans nos vies – intrépide, joyeux, et empreint de grâce. Fils bien-aimé, frère chéri, petit-fils adoré, la présence d'Émile était tout simplement extraordinaire. Avec ses yeux bleus saisissants et son sourire lumineux, Émile possédait le pouvoir magique d’illuminer chaque pièce où il entrait. Sans même un mot, Émile savait toucher les cœurs : un regard, une caresse, ou l’un de ses fameux "high fives" suffisaient à faire sentir à chacun qu’il était vu, apprécié, et aimé.

Sa douceur, sa bonté, et sa force tranquille ont marqué à jamais ceux qui ont eu le privilège de le connaître. Dans le court mais merveilleux passage qu’il a fait parmi nous, Émile nous a enseigné l’amour sans limites, la beauté de la confiance, et la joie pure d’être simplement ensemble. Il nous a rappelé ce qui compte vraiment en ce monde : la connexion, la compassion, et la présence de ceux qu’on aime.

Bien que son passage sur cette terre fût bref, la lumière d’Émile continuera de briller en nous. Nous trouvons du réconfort à l’idée qu’il repose désormais en paix dans l’étreinte éternelle de Dieu, bercé par Son amour infini.

La famille et les amis sont invités à lui rendre hommage au salon funéraire Tubman, chapelle de Carp, situé au 115, rue Rivington, le jeudi 8 mai de midi à 19 h. Les funérailles auront lieu le vendredi 9 mai à 13 h à la Paroisse Catholique Romaine St. Isidore, située au 1135 chemin March, Kanata. L’inhumation et la réception suivront. Tous sont les bienvenus.

En lieu de fleurs, des dons peuvent être faits à Canadian Adaptive Snowsports – NCD. Le ski a apporté une grande joie à la vie d’Émile, et CADS a rendu cela possible. Votre soutien permettra à d'autres enfants vivant avec un handicap de découvrir la même liberté et le même bonheur qu’il a trouvés sur les pistes.
