MORRIS, Elizabeth Anne
On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, Ottawa resident, Elizabeth Anne Morris,surrounded by family, died peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer.
Elizabeth is lovingly remembered by husband Robert Fitzpatrick, brother Donald Morris, son Jordan Steele (Lindsay), granddaughter Alessandra Steele (mother Candice), stepson Kevin Fitzpatrick (Kim), stepdaughter Lynn Fitzpatrick (Marc-Andre), grand stepdaughters (Emma, Charlotte, Lily). Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents, John H. Morris and Lois P. Morris of Charlottetown, P.E.I.
Born and raised in Charlottetown, Elizabeth graduated with a Business degree from UPEI, after which she served a long career with the Federal government in Charlottetown and Ottawa.
Elizabeth’s most outstanding quality was her unfailing and bountiful generosity to family, friends and strangers in need. She gave so much, for so long, to sustain and brighten the lives of others. Elizabeth also had an enduring passion for interior decorating; her exceptional talent for which was manifestly evident throughout her house.
Elizabeth’s family is very grateful for the extensive support she received from the doctors and nurses of the Queensway Carleton Hospital and the Ottawa Hospital. The family extends special thanks to palliative care doctor Andrew Douglas, whose in-home, compassionate, care of both Elizabeth and her familywas of immeasurable help during the final stage of her illness.
Following her cremation in Ottawa, a memorial service is planned for the spring of 2026 in Charlottetown, where her remains will ultimately rest alongside those of her parents.
Donations to honour Elizabeth, made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Humane Society, will be greatly appreciated.
