It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of Elaine on March 5, 2022, at the Ruddy-Shenkman hospice at the age of 51.  Elaine is survived by her husband, Jerome Lacroix, and her son Zakery Ayotte.  She is the daughter of Euclide Villeneuve, and the late Glenda Thompson-Villeneuve.  She will be deeply missed by her sister Joanne Raycraft (David).  She also leaves behind sister-in-law Mireille Lacroix (Philippe St-Onge), nieces Emma and Camille, nephew Max, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Known as Lainey by her many friends, we will all miss her smile, her laughter, her energy, her authenticity, her love of shoes, hockey and music.

We want to thank the doctors, nurses, personal support workers, and volunteers who cared for her in her final weeks at the Queensway Carleton Hospital and at the Ruddy-Shenkman hospice.

To celebrate Lainey's life a memorial reception will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 1pm to 5pm at the Tubman Funeral Homes – Garden Chapel (3440 Richmond Road). Words of remembrance will begin at 3pm.
