E. Gloria Fraser

FRASER, E. Gloria (nee Bradley)

Gloria died peacefully at Fairview Manor, Almonte, just before her 93rd birthday. The first baby delivered by Caesarian section at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, she grew up on the family farm in what was known as Hazeldean, lived for many years in Ottawa, but also in Glencoe, Almonte, and Carleton Place. Gloria enjoyed many summer sunsets on Mississippi Lake.

Gloria was predeceased by her parents, Edna and Garland Bradley, her husband Donald Fraser, her sister Fay McCartney and her son-in-law Denis: all much loved. She is survived by her two daughters Christina and Mary (Allan) who were so very fortunate to have had her as a loving Mom and Mother-in-law; her adored grandchildren Liam (Lauren) and Ellen (Harry); several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews; and Bradley and Switzer cousins.

Many heartfelt thanks (in no particular order) to the caring nurses, PSW's, physicians and to the recreation, administrative, dietary, cleaning, physical therapy, laundry, hairdressing, maintenance and any other staff at Fairview Manor for their kindness and dedication, especially during these very difficult times. Thank you once again also to the staff at the Waterside in Carleton Place.

A private family service was held at TUBMAN FUNERAL HOME with an interment following.

Please consider a donation to Fairview Manor (Long Term Care facility); specifically, to their Recreation Department, through the Almonte Hospital Foundation (almontehospitalfoundation.com). Online, phoned-in (613 256-2514) and mailed donations are all accepted. The Recreation Department staff at FVM have been key to maintaining contact between residents and their loved ones through outdoor visits and other means and have supported residents in general during the pandemic, despite volunteer and fundraising limitations. Condolences, tributes and donations may be made at www.tubmanfuneralhomes.com
