Price, Edna (nee Pohribnei)

Passed away peacefully at Stirling Park Retirement Community in Ottawa on August 27, 2022 at the age of 89 years. Predeceased by Robert Price, her loving husband of 36 years, brother Jack and sister-in-law Jean Pohribnei, and her parents John and Zoffia Pohribnei. Lovingly remembered by brother-in-law Ted Price, his wife Grace, and their children, her niece Beth Kirk, and many other family members.

A lifelong resident of Ottawa, Edna was an employee of the federal government for 41 years. She enjoyed classical music, loved animals and was an avid knitter. She and husband Bob were enthusiastic travelers and during their years together journeyed to dozens of countries and visited all of the continents, including a memorable trip to Antarctica.

Special thanks to the staff of Stirling Park for excellent care. The family is deeply indebted to Edna’s neighbour, friend, and guardian angel Kathleen Trifunov.

Friends may attend visitation at the Tubman Funeral Home – Garden Chapel (3440 Richmond Rd) on Friday, September 16th, 2022 from 1pm to 2pm. A memorial service to follow in the chapel at 2pm.

Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ottawa Humane Society as an expression of sympathy.
