Edmund Mccrae

Unexpectedly, in his 80th year. Neil the eldest son of the late Norman and the late Jean McCrae. He leaves to mourn his siblings: Karen Macdonald (late Rob), Ted (Kathy), Doug (Mim) and Deb Kenny (Bob): plus many nieces, nephews and friends.

Neil attended both Ottawa & Carleton universities, plus Algonquin College. He had a variety of employment; from surveying in the Yukon, to OC Transpo driver, later working in group homes, then aiding the elderly and cancer patients. Neil was a compassionate and caring person who enjoyed helping people whatever his work. In the last few years Neil faced many health challenges with much support from the staff at Fairfield Manor.

A private cremation was held, and his ashes will be interred with his parents at Capital Memorial cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to Heart & Stroke or Canadian Diabetes foundations or charity of your choice.
