June 18, 1940 — January 17, 2026

Dr. Robert "Bob" Maundrell Hall

Peacefully in hospital surrounded by his family on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 11:44am in his 86th year.

After 64 years of marriage, Bob was “still falling in love with his beloved wife, Vangy”.

Other passions of his life included love of family, son Rob and daughter Kimberly; grandchildren, Kiersten, Anika, Kaari, Jacob and Joshua; and his brother John and his family.

He was blessed to have been able to enjoy many years of waterskiing and downhill skiing well into his 80’s. Golfing was another activity that kept him active, but he would often confess that walking the course was the most enjoyable part of the sport for him.

  • His love of gospel music and his faith in Jesus as his personal Saviour were evident in familiar quotes he would express. Keep looking up, the best is yet to come.
  • I’ll meet you where the dirt road stops and the streets of gold begin.
  • I’m prayed up, packed, and ready to go.
  • Loving God, loving each other, making music with my friends.

Written in his hand writing Sept 8, 2020.

In lieu of flowers, Bob would prefer donations be made to the Ottawa Heart Institute

At Bob’s request, a short, private family service will be held at Kars Chapel, in the spring.
