April 4, 1940 — October 20, 2016
Douglas Ramsden, 76, passed away surrounded by his loving family on October 20 th , 2016. Beloved husband of Lyse (née Sabourin). Proud and loving father of Natalie (Reg), Eric (Angèle) and Tom (Anne). Cherished grandfather (Poppa) of Cooper, Devon, Reed, Xavier and Zoë. Dear brother of Joan.
Doug graduated from RMC, and after a brief career in the military, enjoyed 25 years as a high school physics teacher in Nepean. In his retirement, he loved traveling, attending the theater, playing bridge, and spending time at the lake with family and friends.
A service celebrating Doug's life will be held in the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean on Saturday, October 29, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception. Memorial donations may be made to Ottawa Hospital Foundation (http://ohfoundation.ca/) .
