Douglas Evan Fraser, age 67, passed peacefully November 11th, 2022. He is predeceased by his parents, Donald R Fraser, Auralie E (Haws)Fraser, and his brother Ross G Fraser. He is dearly missed by his brothers and sisters, Donna L Fraser, L Neil Fraser, Rebecca J Georges (Marcel), Kathryn E Sear (Dennis Metrunec), D Scott Fraser, Cameron D Fraser (Madeline), and Melanie SJ Fraser-Dawson (Doug Dawson). He is greatly missed by his extended family of cousins, nephews and nieces, and a multitude of friends up and down the Ottawa Valley.
Douglas was a gentle soul who added so much to our lives with laughter and love. He had a keen love of words and could tell you all about trains, and wrestling. Doug was brilliant at music. He knew every chord to every song he learned to play on his various guitars. Douglas loved to collect discographies of bands of all eras. He came to enjoy video games and was ever the staunch defender of animals. He loved to ride his bikes and later, drive his little red car.
Our thanks to the Medical Teams of Pembroke and Civic Hospitals, the Montfort Hospital staff, the personnel of Carefor in Pembroke, and to Dr. Cameron and all the Caregivers at the Laurier Manor of Ottawa for their dedication and support.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your local Animal Shelter.
