Dorothy M Tennant

It is with sadness the family of Dorothy Tennant announces her passing on June 22nd, 2023, at Robertson House, Ottawa. Dorothy was born on July 3rd, 1914, and was the daughter of the late John and Isabella Cathcart. She grew up on a dairy farm in Stanley’s Corner with her three sisters and one brother. Dorothy worked as a school teacher for a number of years and then worked for the Federal Government until she was sixty five. She will be remembered with love by her son Harold (Shirley) of Sussex, N.B., her grandchildren Kimberley Tennant of Red Lake, ON and Gregory Tennant (Brenda) of Sussex, N.B., and her great-granddaughter Sara Gigeroff (Kier) of Gagetown, N.B. 

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Enoch Tennant and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. 

She was predeceased by her sisters Nellie Wallace, Lillian Rea, Agnes Wilson, and brother James Cathcart.  

A private service will be held for the family.
