It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dorothy Bennett (James) at Forest Hill Long Term Care on Sunday August 13^th, 2023, in her 96^th year, leaving a legacy of unconditional love and the true meaning of family.

Dorothy was predeceased by her soulmate Cyril Bennett, whom she had been married to for 50 years.

Much-loved mother of Grant (Rosemary), Bart (Carol), Clinton (Wendy) and Michael (Faye).

The most incredible Grammie us 13 grandkids could ever ask for, Thomas (Hayley), Kelsie, Ashley (Adam), Christopher (Kelsey), Rachel (Jeff), Lindsay (Shawn), Kristin (Matt), Jonathan (Catherine), Joshua (Maranda), Kirby (Trevor), Brody, Colin (Alison) and Jessica (Matthew).

Great-Grammie to Gordon, Ross, Erica, Harrison, William, Owen, Torin, Braxton, Brynlee, Molly, Myles, Westly, Grace and Ryan.

Survived by her brother-in-law Lynn Thompson and predeceased by her parents Howard and Celestia James, sisters Elsie Thompson, Gwen (Al) McNabb, Ethel and brother Willard.

A private family service will be held to celebrate her life at the Tubman Funeral Home Carp Chapel.
