Dorothy Barber

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy “Dot” Barber on March 19, 2023, in her 95th year, beloved wife of the late Leslie Barber (2010).  Sister of Betty Smith.

Loving mother of Nancy (Wally Pitt), Marilyn (Ray Cook), Lynn (late Shawn Gibbons), Valerie (Georges Cyr), Julie (Rob DeAcetis) and Shelley (Marcel Lacelle). Loving grandmother of Andrew (Becky), Ashely (Warren), Jessica (Scott), Kelsey (Kyle), Jordan, Jason (Melissa), Adam (Stephanie), Kaitlin and Breanna (Tyler). Great grandmother to Georgia, Elsie, Mason, Madison, Ethan, Owen, Logan, Jonathan, Noah, Willow, Brody and Blake.

Predeceased by grandson Robbie Cook, son in law Shawn Gibbons and parents Roland and Gladys Metcalfe.

A very special thank you to Denice and Mai for their wonderful care and support to mom.

Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday April 6, 2023, at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd., Nepean, ON K2H 8H7 (between Bayshore and Baseline Road). Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 2:30 pm. Private family burial.

In lieu of flowers donations are asked to be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
