Passed away peacefully after a courageous year-long battle with cancer on Sunday, September 28, 2025, age 74

Don was truly one of a kind. He lived a vibrant life, pursuing an endless array of passions and pursuits. Over the years he embraced sales, hobby farming, racket sports, building, inventing, dancing, poker—and could fix just about anything with his ingenuity and mechanical skill. Friends and family will remember his love of storytelling and his notable gift for telling it like it is.

Predeceased by his parents, Speranza and Attilio, and by his beloved wife of 36 years, Wanda, with whom he built their home and shared countless adventures. Later in life, he was fortunate to find companionship with Nathalie. He will be deeply missed by his extended family and many friends in both Toronto and Ottawa.

Cherished father of Jessie and Chantilly, and devoted Nonno to Hailey and Chelsea, who brought him endless joy.

Though he may have cashed out of the game, those who knew him best will always remember that he left the table a winner in every sense.

A private service will be held for close family and friends.
