Donald Eric Peterson

Peacefully at the May Court Hospice in Ottawa on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Helen Peterson (née Flake) for 60 years. Survived by brothers-in-law Harold Flake (Carole) and Vern Flake (Lois). Predeceased by parents Eric and Thelma Peterson and sister, Mildred Hayes (the late Jim). He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A special thanks to the staff at Stirling Park Retirement Community, the Ottawa Hospital – Civic campus, and the May Court Hospice Ottawa for their extraordinary care and support.

A private family celebration of life will be held at the Kars Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 1610 Roger Stevens Drive, Kars, ON, on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at 12 pm. Immediately after the celebration, the inurnment will occur at Rideauvale Cemetery followed by a reception at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to  Maycourt Hospice would be appreciated.
