Donald W Ford

11 December 1943 – 20 August 2022

After many challenging years Don passed away peacefully at the Saint Vincent Hospital on August 20th, 2022, at the age of 78. Don was predeceased by his father Herbert, Mother Lilliane, his wife Carol and brothers Lawrence,  Herb and Harold and sister Nola.   Left to mourn his loss are his sister Janet (Lee Fulton), brother Barry (Pauline), his stepchildren Hal (Sue), Kevin (Marlene) and Caroline.  Also losing their “Gramps” are Cody, Tristan, Skyler, Liam and Andrew.  He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.

Don worked as a plumber and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and time outdoors with numerous stories of time spent with family.   He loved country music and enjoyed road trips with Carol. He had a great sense of humour and was always checking in with family to ensure everyone was doing well.   He also loved animals and had many beloved pets.

Many thanks to the staffs at the Ottawa General Hospital and St Vincent Hospital who took care of Don – your support and care for Don shall forever be appreciated.
