Diane Luvia Dormer

Passed away peacefully at the age of 86. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Bill, Diane (née Holtzman) was a proud and loving mother of Wendy and Nancy and loving grandmother of Holly.

Diane was born in Hamilton ON, the daughter of Earl and Luvia Holtzman. After living in Ontario, Quebec and Newfoundland throughout her youth, she graduated from McGill University as a physiotherapist and soon after met Bill through Young People’s Union and married in 1964.

Diane was an avid knitter and enjoyed curling, square and round dancing and was an active member of Bells Corners United Church in Ottawa. Diane spent many happy summers with Bill at their cottage on Gananoque Lake, and enjoyed traveling to many far away places after Bill’s retirement.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Bells Corners United Church, 3955 Old Richmond Road, Ottawa on Thursday March 12th at 2pm. Interment to follow at a later date at Olivet United Church in Seeley’s Bay ON.
