Denyse Suzanne Madeleine Kozicki

Denyse Suzanne Madeleine Kozicki (née Courdin) passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 27, 2023 at her home at the Viva Barrhaven Retirement Community. 

Born on February 22, 1941 in Ottawa, Denyse was the only daughter and second of five children born to Rudolphe and Madeleine (née St. Jean) Courdin. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother David (Gloria) and is survived by her brothers Peter (Karen and the late Margaret),  Michael, and Richard (Lynn). 

Denyse married William (d. 2002) in 1963 and they lived happily together for almost 40 years. They had one daughter, Sharon (Joseph), who she cherished. Denyse loved her nieces, nephews, and their children as her own. 

Denyse was a talented seamstress and loved doing needlework. For many years she was an active member of the Ottawa Valley Guild of Stitchery and she also enjoyed traveling to events organized by the Embroiderers’ Association of Canada. She had a love of figure skating and was a Board and life member of the Nepean (Figure) Skating Club.
