David Wyn Alexander Wentzell

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of David Wentzell (62) surrounded by loved ones at home. He was a beloved husband to Julie for 34 years and loving father to Alexandra (Adrian) and Kelly (Marc). Cherished son of the late Jessen and Heather Wentzell. Dearest younger brother to Robin, Peter (Sybil), Gary (Christine) and Ruth (Chuck). Loved brother-in-law to Sally (Mark) and Gord (Kim).

Dave is fondly remembered as “the nicest man”, “easiest going guy”, and for “always smiling”. As a title searcher for 40 years, Dave made an impressive career doing two things he loved: researching the history and geography of the Ottawa region. He was also an avid reader, passionate wine connoisseur, talented bass player and nature lover.

His unparalleled kindness, sense of humour, knowledge and love will be forever missed. Dave will live on in our hearts and minds every day.

Upon his request, a private celebration of life will be held.
