David Lewis Sangster

Peacefully at the Ottawa Hospital, Civic Campus on Tuesday, July 2, 2026 age 79 years. Devoted husband and life partner of Lisette. Cherished father of Natasha (Mike). Survived by his brother Bryce Sangster (Sharon) and cherished in-laws.

Born in Arvida, QC and graduate of Queens University. Dave worked as a mining engineer for CIL which took him to Labrador City, Liberia, Africa and Ottawa.

His sense of humour will be missed by friends and family. His love of travel and adventure included his love of photography, especially birds and people.

Friends may attend at visitation at the Kars Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 1610 Roger Stevens Dr., Kars on Thursday, July 23rd from 1 pm until time of service in the chapel at 2 pm. Reception to follow

Ton sens de l’humour, ta grande générosité et ton immense bonté resteront à jamais gravés dans nos cœurs.

Je garderai toujours en souvenir l’homme exceptionnel que tu étais, toujours à mes côtés pendant 55 ans, me comblant d’amour, d’attention et de mille petites surprises.

Tu as été mon soutien, mon ange gardien, et tu cherchais constamment des façons de rendre la vie de Natasha spéciale. Tu étais un père formidable.
